I got this for a gift. I am a busy grandmother and business owner, but this machine makes my life so much easier when it comes to making cakes, mashed potatoes, etc. I also have the meat grinder and buy whole pieces of beef and grind to make my own hamburgers, stews, etc. This is an awesome machine and I want all the attachments for Christmas!

Our 1st Kitchen Aid mixer lasted 25 years. I'm confident this one will,too! It mixes beautifully. The only reason the review is a 4 star and not a 5 star is the mixer paddle. It's terrible compared to the original. It isn't solid metal but a cheaper aluminum that I predict we'll have to replace in 2-3 years. With the machine being over $200 , the paddle should be better quality.

Somewhat Flimsy

I bought this device in October 2018 and returned it for a replacement in April 2019 because the motor stalled when I was mixing eggs and sugar. Although the machine always did a reasonable job I found the construction a bit flimsy. The pivot between the drive and base is particularly poorly fitted, On two occasions the pivots worked loose. So just have to give the mixer and average pass. The white metal mixers were also rather poor. I replace the paddle with a stainless steel version.

I have wanted a KitchenAid blender for many years. I received mine for Christmas this year. This blender was everything I imagined it would be. Easy to use, easy to clean and streamlines the cooking/baking processes.
