Rust on the inside

On the first hand wash I made before using the appliance it completely rusted on the Inside. I noticed it was full of little holes on the inside of the bowl and the rust came right out of those holes. This is obviously a manufacturer defect. Not the quality you would expect from kitchenaid

I bought this product two days and ago and it was delivered today. The box was delivered damaged and dented....it was suppose to be given as a Father's Day gift. Customer service informed to "purchase a gift box from a local store so that it looks more presentable".

It's big which is nice, but there should be a built in lip or pour spout to make pouring batter from this much easier and measurments inside the bowl may also be helpful. I was surprised how poorly thought out this bowl is. Also, wash it with olive oil before use because they use a polish that will not come off with dish soap but comes off with oil. It made all my shortbread cookies black (if I were t making a light coloured batter I wouldn't have noticed either, so I'm glad that was the first thing I made) and although it is a food safe polish I wasn't comfortable eating cookies that had polish in them so I threw out a huge batch of cookies.

A long awaited much needed necessity! Trying to make many desserts at once with almost ALL requiring beaten egg whites made this very much needed accessory a necessity! My birthday present to myself!
