LOVE - received these pots/pans free from survey and my family is all enjoying the easy to use pans. An addition to these pans that I have not had in the past are the size quantities listed inside each pan - so convenient and helpful!!

Beautiful to look at and work with

Love to cook in CT 12/17/2018

I prepare dinner almost daily and need pans that are sturdy. These pans are replacing my 35 year old set and so far have met and exceeded my needs. They heat up evenly and I love the glass covers. I may an amazing coq au vin in the dutch oven that went from stove top to oven. The pans clean up nice and any discolorations were removed with a simple solutions of vinegar. I love my new pots and pans!

Stainless Steel Cookware Performs!

Heather13 12/17/2018

I am traditionally not a fan of stainless steel cookware but when the KitchenAid Test & Review Program asked if I'd test it I was all in! Overall the cookware is high quality, good weight but not too heavy. The sizes that come within the 10 pc set are highly practical and a great addition to any kitchen. I've used all pieces at this point and my favorite is definitely the 3QT Saute Pan. I love the deeper sides while still not being too big. The one disappointing thing I will say is the pans 'show use' immediately. The images I've attached were after one use of frying ground beef. I scrubbed and could not get it to look pristine again. As I noted I'm not one to generally use stainless steel cookware so this may be completely normal. KitchenAid claims this cookware to be dishwasher safe. I'm still of the mind set that cookware should be hand washed but maybe if I place in the dishwasher it will come clean?! All this said the cookware performs beautifully. Even temperature while cooking, cool handles on stove top, easy to cook with weight and cleans up quickly. Great product overall, if I could give 4.5 stars I would!

Great set, convenient

lbarto1 12/16/2018

I cook every day, and love preparing new recipes for my family. My old cookware cooked food so unevenly that I found myself using my cast iron pots and pans instead, which was inconvenient because they are so heavy and have to be hand washed When I tried this KitchenAid cookware, I was so pleased! I've been using the them for about two weeks now (1-2 times per day), and they really disburse the heat so nicely that all of my food cooks through perfectly even. The best feature is that I can put these in the dishwasher, and they come out without any spots or discoloring.

Wow! With stainless like this, who needs nonstick?

DefinitelyDora 12/16/2018

This set far exceeded my expectations. In addition to succeeding at all things stainless steel is usually good for, such as browning, crisping, and cooking evenly, this set is as good as nonstick (even for eggs!) and unbelievably easy to clean. The thick bottoms contribute to the overall quality, but do make them a little weighty. Not a major downside. As far as an all-inclusive set goes, this covers all the necessities. The large boiling pot could be larger, but this handles a box of pasta or a small batch of sauce just fine. This set quickly replaced several of my go-to pots and pans, and my old nonsticks went right in the trash. Great bang for the buck! Highly recommended as a gift or an investment in deliciousness.

High Quality Set

Sammy46 12/16/2018

Impressed! These replaced our almost ten year old set, and our family has been using them for about two weeks for one pot meals, chili, and everything in between. The pieces are heavy, feel well-made, and don't slide around on the cook top. The pans seem to cook evenly. My favorite feature is the interior measurements on the pots. It makes boiling water for pasta so much easier! Also, dishwasher-safe for easy clean-up is another great feature on the checklist. Will use this set for many years to come!

Well crafted cookware

T&RMFV 12/15/2018

We agreed to test this set 2 weeks ago and were immediately impressed by the quality of manufacturing. All pots and pans have sturdy tri-ply bottoms for even cooking. The stainless steel handles are brushed for easy gripping and are oven safe. Food cooks quickly and evenly, and the pans are easy to clean. We're pleased with the glass lids which make it easy to monitor the cooking process. We would purchase this and give it as a gift.

Good solid set of everyday cookware

Skippy73 12/15/2018

This is a great set of cookware for your daily needs with some added features that work well for more specific tasks. The size and shape mix is good for most of your daily needs. Dutch oven good for boiling pasta or a nice stew or chili. The sauce pans cover anything from mashed potatoes to a delicate sauce. The graduated measurements etched in the side of the sauce pans are PERFECT when trying to reduce a sauce or stock. The covered saute is nice for a variety of quick meals. The pans heat up quickly and evenly and hold a good consistent heat. The heavy triple-ply makes it easy to control the heat for a delicate sauce or a quick saute. They also work well in the oven to finish of meat or under the broiler. They clean up well. I was a little concerned initially because after a pan sear and pan sauce the skillet looked like I was going to have a hard time cleaning it up. To my surprise a quick soak and a nylon brush cleaned it up. I have found that a soft nylon pad and a little Bar Keeper's Friend keep these pans looking like new. I did find one difficulty with cleanup... the lids. The rim that holds the glass has a very small groove that can collect food and be difficult to clean. It was particularly noticeable when I used the lid to drain a pot of potatoes. Took a toothpick to get in the grove and get out the starch. DISCLAIMER: I do not have a dishwasher, so I cannot comment on how these do in the dishwasher. Regular washing they did well. The short sides on the skillets tended to allow a little more splatter on the stove top and made tossing a full skillet a little messy. However the saute worked well for similar tasks without the splatter.

Exquisite Set

JohnSteen 12/15/2018

I got this set a few weeks ago and it came just in time as I was hosting 2 back to back holiday parties. I made mexican rice for a potluck and then I made my famous turkey chili for a Cocktails & Cookies party. I fried up the ground turkey in the fry pan and then put it in the 3.5 Quart Saute pan to let the base simmer for a few hours before I placed in all in the Stockpot to simmer all day. I have to say my favorite piece is the 3.5 Quart Saute pan because this is the first time I've ever used one of these. It really is a must have especially when cooking for a large number of people. I really love the long handles on the frying pans as well. It makes it much easier to transport around the stove and not burn yourself. It's always great to have glass lids to see how all your dishes are fairing and guests get to take a peak as well, which excites them. Cleaning the pots was quite easy. I usually like to let frying pans soak a bit but the ease in which to clean these after use was flawless. It's quite a beautiful set and a must have for any cook or entertainer.

Easy Cleanup!

LovesToCookandBake 12/14/2018

I received the 10 piece set to test out. I really like the fact you need very little fat to sauté in the pans. They all heat up very quickly and evenly. Very, very easy to cleanup! That's a bonus! What I don't like is each pan or pot not matter which one is smaller than what I am used to and heavier even without the lid. That is a "hhmm" in my book but would not stop from purchasing if you don't need to cook for a lot of people.

Beautiful Quality

southflorida 12/12/2018

I received this set about a week ago and I just love it! I only use cookware with metal handles which allows for use in the oven. The pots and pans are a nice weight and the handles do not get hot when used on the stove top. High heat is unnecessary, since the bottoms get hot and retain heat on a lower setting. I like the smooth design -- you cannot see where the bottom is attached. The handles are welded, so there are no bolts inside the pan. Cleanup is very easy. They are great for browning. You can get a really good sear on meat, then put the pan and meat into the oven to finish cooking. I love the 3.5 quart shallow pan. These can go in the dishwasher. This set is beautiful, with all the features I was looking for, and the quality is excellent.

Impressive performance in every way

Wjm420 12/12/2018

I tested a few of the set. With using an induction stovetop, the pans quickly became hot. I was impressed with the making hard boiled eggs. I also tested a fry pan with making a fried egg. I made a sautéed chicken and vegetable dish from stove to oven as well. In all cases, the cooking was even, easy to manage and clean up was a breeze. The handles are comfortable and the weight of the pans make them easy to manage. Overall an excellent product. I appreciate the measure markings in the pans. I would recommend making them darker or easier to read. I would appreciate cups vs liters as well.

Perfect weight, great pots & pans

Ms Max 12/11/2018

I have been using these pots and pans for a short time. They have done very well on the stove top and in the oven. I used them on an electric stove. There were no hot spots, just nice even heat distribution. The lids are a nice part of the package and they also work well in the oven. There is a slight irregularity on the seam of a pot lid that will probably wear away with time. A very nice weight to the pieces but not to heavy for lifting and pouring. They are a pleasure to use.

The Best Cookware Set!

Chef Mommy 12/11/2018

I love this cookware set! The pots and pans are nicely weighted, which helps create an even cook. The long handles are attached from the outside and not bolted from the inside, making clean-up much easier. I have always used non-stick pans but now use these almost exclusively! In the past, I've avoided stainless steel pans due to sticking and burning - which I know is just user error. Since I received this set for free to test, I wanted to make sure I did so accurately and thoroughly. Prior to use, I researched how to prevent sticking in stainless steel and the answer was fairly simple: preheat the pan a few minutes immediately prior to use, coat with oil once hot, and begin cooking. Don't preheat the pan too long or add oil before preheating. You also don't need a ton of oil, my other concern, but just enough to coat. Armed with knowledge, I cooked a variety of food with the pans: eggs, steaks, hamburgers, breakfast hash, meatballs (and sauce), and ground chicken. The results were way better than a non-stick pan. For example, the steaks were evenly medium-rare and not medium-rare in the center and medium-well everywhere else. And now I know how to properly preheat and oil a stainless steel pan, there wasn't a single sticky, burnt mess. This is definitely quality cookware worth having in your artillery - the cook on all foods comes out great and clean-up is a breeze. If you are not used to cooking with stainless steel I highly recommend researching how to do so first. The results are amazing!

THE best stainless steel cookware. Period.

Mr. S 12/11/2018

The are truly the best modern stainless steel cookware I've used. There is no laminated core adhered to the bottom like other sets, it is manufactured into the bottom with no seams. They are heavy, feel sturdy, and of the highest quality. The lids fit tightly and the handles are nice. I've dropped 2 lids from 6ft to the floor by accident and they survived with no damage. The quality is very high. As for cooking, they work beautifully. They heat quickly and evenly. They brown and sear amazingly. They can go from stove to oven. Clean is easy. No sharp corners and dishwasher safe. I honestly have zero complaints. This set has way exceeded my expectations and then some. I've held on to an old set of Revereware for ever because I haven't found as set as good, until now. This set is better, and I can't believe I said it, but it's true. If you're looking for a new set, this is it. You'll love it.

Great quality!

lindz89 12/11/2018

After cooking with old, worn out college-student cookware for a couple of years, it was time for something of better quality. This cookware is great! They heat up evenly and quickly, and nothing seems to stick to the bottoms. I cooked chicken sausage in the wide-bottomed pan without any issues with sticking, which was previously unheard of with my other stainless steel pans. They're quite versatile, considering the ability to also use them in the oven. We used them for a prosciutto-wrapped pork loin that I started on the stove and finished in the oven and it came out perfectly. The fact that they're dishwasher safe is also a huge plus, but honestly, they clean so easily that it's sometimes just more convenient to hand wash them. If I had to find something to complain about, I would say that I wish the lids fit more snugly, as they do slide around a bit.

Well designed, even heating, quality stainless

Dr. DL 12/11/2018

We have been using stainless steel cookware for 25+ years, the only exceptions being cast iron for skillet/griddle. This set replaced a 10+ years old Cuisinart set and the overall design is superior. I like the internal measurements, though it's not clear how long they will last as they do not appear to be etched very deeply. The handles are heavier/more robust than my prior cookware and fit the hand better. Lids are nicely designed; I prefer glass lids so I can see into the pot without removing them. The one concern I would have about this design is the welded-on handles. My prior cooksets (two in 25 years) have had riveted handles which I've always felt to be superior. Others have suggested, however, that welding is better in that there are no rivets inside the pot to gather food, which makes for easier cleaning. It doesn't matter to me either way, except that I want my stainless pots to last decades and always consider the handle attachment the weak point. If these hold up (as expected, they carry a good warranty) I can be convinced in the weld vs rivet debate. Overall I found this KitchenAid cookware set to be more attractive than my prior sets. The exterior walls end in a gentle curve, rather than a straight edge, which looks stylish. The handles are also attractive. The stainless looks good and works as expected (even heating, no sticking, easy to clean); I have never had problems with food sticking to stainless and will not prepare food for my family on anything with a non-stick coating. The material and finish are good; we've used this set daily and run it through the dishwasher multiple times with no change in appearance. Again, assuming they last many years (as intended) they seem to strike a nice balance between quality and price. The pieces in this set make a good starting package. If I were stocking a kitchen from scratch I would add an additional saucepan and supplement it all with a 14-16" cast iron skillet as well.
